Description of the new feature / enhancement

Tool to reinstate the old favourites feature in Explorer or allow tagging of pinned folders with an expanded description.

Scenario when this would be used?

We use a standard naming convention for project folders resulting in large numbers of sub folders with the same name, creating a shortcut through pinning is no good. A simple way to either reinstate the old favourites feature or allow tagging of folders in Explorer would solve the issue.

Hello and thanks for your message. Maybe you would like to try the Files app. It has a good labeling system built in to it.

Files and others can do this but our IT are reluctant to deploy third party apps on the system, a tweak to Explorer via PowerToys is more palatable readily available for all users.
