Steps to reproduce

Suspend in Win11 (last update) may be problem. I think after suspend the zones becomes inactives. To reactivate one should go to settings/fancy zones - > disable ->enable.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Facncy zones should be always available (moving a window with SHIFT pressed).

❌ Actual Behavior

Fancy zones becomes inactives after a while (possible after suspend). To reactivate one should go to settings/fancy zones - > disable ->enable. Also, TASK MANAGER can NEVER use Fancy zones.

I just follow «Reply to this email directly, », that is why I attached file to email. And just doing nothing, after I made the ZIP file, I found that Fancy zones work again. I was in Edge. Retested with current window (Chrome), doesn`t work. Strange!! Again: I have now only 4 windows oppened on desktop: 1-Chrome - not work, 2- Snipping tool - work ok 3- Chrome with camera web viewer (executing an app)- not working 4- Task Manager - not working

I will test more, by opening now:

• Excel -found OK
• Word, OK
• Edge - OK
• Other chrome - other user - NOT OK !!
• Calculator OK
• Whatapp - OK
• Setting window - OK
• Epson Scan - OK I just attached screenshoot with my initial 4 (3 visible) opened windows. I think is just chrome which doesn`t work. And I use a lot Chrome. As I know, chrome is just updated to last version in the lasts days. Possible it may be the culprit. Task Manager never worked. Ask me for more tests if needed. Mihai P.

It looks like you are not running PowerToys as administrator, that can case an issue when trying to manipulate applications running as administrator. Try running as administrator and retry the "other chrome" test

Thank you for replay. Please tell me how to do that by default, as it is loaded automatically at windows start. Indeed, after exit and run it again as admin all windows react OK with fancy zones.
