File Explorer File Preview Awesome but very slow to start - add in background thread #32571

Description of the new feature / enhancement

The File Explorer File Preview is awesome and very useful, but it prevents me from using the File Explorer effectively. With it it is difficult to select files and delete them. Sometimes I even delete the wrong file because of it, because there is lag in the selecting. Can it not run on a background thread and show the preview when done leaving me to operate normally in the foreground thread.

Scenario when this would be used?

When selecting and deleting/copying files

About which previewer are you talking about? All of them?

All of them

A good way to see the problem is if you unzip a 30GB zip file in another explorer window and then try and move around in explorer with the preview on. It just freezes explorer for minutes, since it is not a background thread.

The zip issue happens even though I used a different explorer window and I have the "Launch folders in a separate process" check box on

Also has an issue if I copy a font file to another directory and then I can't delete that font file again, because it is locked by the preview.
