Microsoft PowerToys version

0.81.1

Installation method

Microsoft Store

Running as admin

None

Area(s) with issue?

Environment Variables, Keyboard Manager

Steps to reproduce

  1. Turn off caps lock (if activated)
  2. Remap a key in the keyboard manager (e.g.: the 'Caps Lock' key becomes Ctrl, 'Ctrl(Left)' key to 'Disable')
  3. Launch Environment variables
  4. (Allow the software to make changes to the device)
  5. Push the Caps Lock key on the keyboard

I access the environmental variables using this button:

✔️ Expected Behavior

Pushing the 'Caps Lock' key on my keyboard should act as Ctrl (as remapped through the keyboard manager).

❌ Actual Behavior

The 'Caps Lock' key returns to its original function while the environmental variables window is open (and remains like this even for other applications). The 'Caps Lock' key becomes Ctrl again when this window is closed.

Other Software

Update:

Even when running environmental variables from the search bar, this issue appears. As soon as I enter the window below, remapping stops working until I close that window.
