Description of the new feature / enhancement

A shortcut to activate the quick accent would be very useful (1rst time using github sorry for mistake in this post). The quick accent feature is very useful but makes using arrow/space key with any other pause the app i'm running to choose an accent when i'm not writing.

Scenario when this would be used?

In my scenario where i have an English keyboard (no accents) and live in France where i need accents, having to change the parameter everytime, because it conflicts with other apps, is tiring.
