Description of the new feature / enhancement
You can seamlessly launch programs, such as browsers, based on customized rules you set within the module. For instance, when you click a link from a specific domain like slack.com, the link will automatically open in the browser or profile you've pre-assigned to that domain. The tool acts as an intermediary, capturing links and redirecting them according to criteria like domain, protocol, or file extension.
Scenario when this would be used?
If you use different browsers for specific tasks—like Microsoft Edge for personal use, Chrome for work, and Firefox for studies—this tool can be a game-changer. It ensures that external links automatically open in the right browser without the hassle of manually copying and pasting links. Imagine clicking on a work-related link in your email, only for it to open in your personal browser where none of your work accounts are logged in. This solution eliminates that issue by routing each link to the correct browser based on the rules you’ve set, saving you time and streamlining your workflow.
Supporting information
A good software that has this feature is Browser Tamer (https://www.aloneguid.uk/projects/bt/) and I think it is a good power user feature, as it can complement the new Workspaces module.
