neat idea
Doesn't Windows already have the function to remove all personal information from an image file?
Very useful paired with 'Image Resizer'!
That sounds like a good idea though.
What I was meant was in the Properties window, tab Details. Works on multiple files at once.
Also found a Registry Key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\removeproperties
Not sure how the use that, but maybe somebody else does?
Hi Jay! You're right: I also tried to remove exif to multiple files and it works! Thanks!

Having #7986 fixed (my secret gateway to actually remove metadata ;)), i'd like to raise awareness about this function. Yes, the metadata removal as a one click operation would be an incredibly useful function. I hope one day we get this also as a checkbox in Open dialog (like in FairMail for Android). It's very important to be able to remove our private data (camera model, location) from pictures we share. The Windows function is hard to reach and fails in many scenarios.

Hi, My one wax closed as duplicate but this one seems different. I don't need metadata removed but mass exported.
Description of the new feature / enhancement Users have requested this, a tool like Exiftool included in powertoys that can batch extract all this data from images and put them in a csv file.
Scenario when this would be used? For example when we are needing to gather specific data its eaiser to extract
"I am uploading ~4000 photos to NZ Flood Pics. Rather than manually sorting through each image to pull Name, Date/Time, GPS for metadata, this tool should generate a spreadsheet with all EXIF data for selected images."
By right clicking on an image, a new menu item 'EXIF Remover' would be useful. This new feature would help to remove EXIF information such as GPS location etc. Very useful paired with 'Image Resizer'! Thanks!
