Preview word, ppt, excel files without Office #4779

Many people may don't installed Office. It may be supported to preview word, ppt, excel, pdf without other office software.

Then how would you open those files? Or you want only to see the thumbnail?

LibreOffice, for instance.

However, it can not preview the documents in the Explorer Shell since EMF format isn't installed without MS Office.

PDFs can be previewed with Edge / Chrome.

No, they can't. They can be viewed, but Edge and Chrome do not provide Preview handlers for the Explorer shell. Adobe Acrobat DC and Foxit do, for instance.

for something like PDF, we'd wrap it chances are with a WebView2. I think this is a fine ask.

removing PDF from this ask as it is the item not like the rest here
