why is this still a issue? there's seriously zero need for a newly created window to be on top... at the very least prevent any newly created window to be in the foreground if the user have a textbox or input field highlighted, it should not be a 7-headed monsters to set so "hey, the user is typing at the keyboard in a different app, pressing letters and space bar, probably chatting or typing a message, let's NOT pop up a "your software have an update" message with the "restart computer now" already in focus and restart without asking "are you sure?" without the user having time to react, or if they are not a blind typers that needs to look down at the keyboard when they are typing and not looking at this button that was not there a moment ago"
Why hasn't this been implemented yet ? This is 5 Years old and should have never been a problem in the first place if windows gave options to configure stuff instead of locking everything in default behavior
The old TweakUI had an option to disable focus stealing. I am a real power user: while launching several apps I am writing emails, notes, documents and so on. But when another app has been finished the startup it steals the focus. Other times this happens when an app shows a pop-up.
Pls bring back an option to disable focus stealing
