On R GUI, these commands run perfectly well.

VS 15.5.1

R 3.4.3

plotly 4.7.1

And in one of the previous versions, plotly works well, but I forget which exact version.

We are mostly on holidays until Jan. Can you try VS Preview channel? It is on 15.6 currently
