@Trektinon I'm having the same issue with Datacenter 2019. To add more information - I'm running the latest May patches. I validated the communication works with powershell to test the network controller.
I found this article. I'm unable to discern what changes were made to resolve the issue: https://github.com/MicrosoftLearning/WS-013T00-Azure-Stack-HCI/issues/7
Is there a group at MS we can get in touch with? I'm reaching out to my account manager in Premier support to see if I can make any headway there.
Hi did anyone get anywhere with this I have this exact issue.
Hello there!
This should be working properly now. Can you please try again? We've made many changes to WAC and the SDN extensions - they are now shipping on a Tuesday night, weekly basis.
If this is still happening, can you please collect the HAR logs and send them along? You'll want to follow the below steps before starting the process with Windows Admin Center: Windows Admin Center common troubleshooting steps | Microsoft Learnhttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/manage/windows-admin-center/support/troubleshooting#collect-har-files
Thanks!

Hi KBisnettMSFT,
I have installed Windows Updates and checked im using the latest version of WAC still getting the same error. please see attached HAR.
The error we get is "Windows Admin Center ran into unexpected error during validation of the Windows Server Network Controller. More information may be found in the users documents directory on the WAC gateway."
I never seem able to add SDN to WAC after completing sdnexpress setup (no errors reported) in a fresh 2019 hyper-v cluster. Using WAC 2103 I get "Invalid URI" while validating rest uri. Opening rest url in browser works and networkcontroller powershell commands work. Using the exact same sdnexpress config file in a fresh Azure HCI cluster does work, WAC is able to connect after sdnexpress completes setup.
What validation is done by WAC? What to check and any relevant logs to look at?
