Suggestion: Monokai #16

Great work creating this pack. I like the Monokai theme a lot which is used in VSCode and Atom. Might be nice if it is included in this pack.

Glad you like it.

We aren't developing any new themes at Microsoft (too busy building new features into the product). But we provide the Color Theme Editor and this open-source repo so that you or any other members of the community can create great new themes and contribute them to the pack.

Do you think you could create the Monokai theme? I'm happy to help give you guidance if you're interested.

I'm interested. Was opening an issue to see if other people were interested. I will take a look at the Color Theme Editor and see if I can create something. Thanks,

@mckennajones If you download the Color Theme Editor, you can start working on the theme.

@justcla I'd like to base it off of the Monokai theme that exists in VS Code. Do you know where I would be able to find the theme file which contains the relevant hex codes for that?

Monokai and Monokai Night are available as Dainty presets. See https://dainty.site/vs.

Is anybody working on this? Or is this issue dead?

@farrrb I don't think anybody is working on this. But that doesn't mean the issue is dead. Anyone could pick up the issue if that person has the time and motivation to work on it. Currently I'm using the Dainty preset as I can't find the time to work on it.
