Version 2017 reinstalling continuously under proxy #98

I have installed the 2017 extension (great work!) on both my home and work machines. At home, no problems. In the office, I'm under proxy. I'm able to download and install the extension, but when it offers to restart Visual Studio 2017, at restart the extension begins again to configure the various pieces. And it goes in a loop until I cancel the installation.

Thanks.

I have installed the 2017 extension on my work machine without internet access. The installer starts and it looks like it's installing all separate extensions without errors. In fact the installer could not download them. After all it asks for restarting VS2017 and the fake-install-and-restart loop begins.

Hi, the same here!

The installer needs access to the Marketplace (via the internet) in order to download and install the individual PPT extensions. If this does not work, you should uninstall the Productivity Power Tools 2017 installer extension and manually install each of the extensions that you want installed.

Here's a link to the Marketplace that shows all PPT extensions for VS2017.

You can also search for PPT in the Extensions and Updates dialog to find all the PPT extensions for VS2017.

VS 2017 Preview keeps asking for restart after Productivity Extensions installed. After VS restart, it started Productivity Extension setup and configuration and asking for reboot, and keeps doing that continuously.

Asvyat - Thanks for the bug report. This is fixed in the next release.
