Repro Steps

wsl --install Ubuntu-22.04

Expected Behavior

Ready made Ubuntu 22.04 wsl version 2 is accessable

Actual Behavior

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS ist bereits installiert. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS wird gestartet... Installing, this may take a few minutes... WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80070002 Error: 0x80070002 Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.

@David9902: It looks like WSL is in a bad state. Doe reinstalling the latest package solve the issue for you ?
