WSL2 distro unable to download packages in Windows 10 with proxy enabled internet #11770

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.4651]

WSL Version

1.1.3.0

Are you using WSL 1 or WSL 2?

Kernel Version

5.15.90.1

Distro Version

Ubuntu 22.04

Repro Steps

Existing Windows 10 system is connected with proxy for internet access. No wireless interface Installed WSL distro by following command

wsl --install Ubuntu --web-download

After successful installation of Ubuntu,

wsl --set-default Ubuntu wsl

Here I am facing actual problem. Unable to update packages and failing to connect with online repositories $sudo apt update /y

I try to update /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/proxy.conf with proxy and port. s

Expected Behavior

I am expecting to download packaged directly from Ubuntu archive websites and get updated.

Actual Behavior
