Repro Steps

ctrl-n to create a new file in VS Code/Notepad
Add content to new file
ctrl-s to save new file

Expected Behavior

Application's save dialog should show the \Linux\Ubuntu-22.04 (\\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu-22.04) folder in the same way as Windows File Explorer does

Actual Behavior

Application's save dialog doesn't show the \Linux\Ubuntu-22.04 (\\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu-22.04) folder

I am also looking for this feature, good issue description.

Workaround: Go to WSL in Windows, right click the folder of interest and select 'show more options' > 'Map network drive'. Now you can at least select the WSL instance folder as a network drive.
