Alt+tab issue when in full-screen app #96

Hi, I'm using taskbar on top instead of on the bottom and I have the following issue on multiple different machines since I reinstalled and updated Windows 10 to the latest version couple days ago (previously I didn't have it so it most likely came with the latest version, currently I have 21H1 19043.1165 version).

The issue itself reproduces when taskbar is pinned to the top or to the side, it works flawlessly when the taskbar is on the bottom and (unfortunately) now I need to resort to using taskbar on the bottom because it's very annoying what happens.

  1. Pin your taskbar to the top.
  2. Open some window (like explorer Win+e).
  3. Open an Edge (or Chrome) browser youtube window with a video playing, open it in full screen.
  4. Alt+Tab to the explorer window.
  5. Alt+Tab to the full-screen app.
  6. Try to press Space to pause a video, it won't work.
  7. Try to press Alt+Tab single time to switch to explorer window. It won't work.
  8. Try to press Alt+Tab single time to switch to explorer window. It wont work. (repeat any number of times)

When you do the 5th step (Alt+Tab to the full-screen app), it will switch back to the full screen app BUT taskbar will stay on the top of the fullscreen app and it appears that the taskbar itself is focused because keyboard shortcuts won't work until you manually focus the fullscreen app with a mouse. Furthermore, when pressing Alt-Tab it would select the full-screen app instead of the explorer (second) window, so in order to alt-tab to some other window you need to press alt-tab twice now.

Also (maybe related) I noticed that sometimes when pressing Win key and starting typing something, it doesn''t work until you hit Win key multiple times again.

When taskbar is on the bottom, it works as expected.

Also, when I connect a second monitor and make second monitor as a primary one, and then I pin taskbar to the top on both monitors, everything works flawlessly on both monitors. But if I select my main monitor as a primary one - it doesn't work on my main monitor. But this issue is reproduced on the separate machine (laptop) without monitor.

It doesn't work on main monitor whenever taskbar with tray is locked into it.

I managed to fix it. I noticed that the new weather applet appeared in taskbar with the new version of windows. I also noticed that it disappears when you move taskbar to the top or to any sides. So I tried turning it off, and it fixed the problem.
