Restoring supergraph changes #153

Supergraph infrastructure had stopped working. This PR restores back the changes so supergraph algos work again. We will do walkthrough of changes on Monday.

Could you please post the errors you were having? I think it's worth fixing the errors instead of reverting the repository back to a previous state.
