[Feature Request] Load test result publish in Azure DevOps section #89

Open harsh4nature opened 2 years ago

harsh4nature commented 2 years ago

Describe the solution you'd like There is no way to publish test results using Azure Load Testing in Azure DevOps - Release pipeline - Tests section. So, once the pipeline finishes. I have to go to the Azure portal and check the results. If we can somehow able to publish those results in Azure DevOps - Test Section then it will be consistent and all stakeholders can view it.

@harsh4nature thanks for reaching out. The Azure portal provides rich dashboarding capabilities and integration with server side metrics. Can you help us understand why you would like to view results in Azure DevOps? Is it because all stakeholders would need access to the resource in the portal?

Christian4K commented 2 years ago

I fully support this request. The Azure Portal in several enterprises is locked down and our stakeholders are forced to see the test results dashboards via Azure DevOps only.

harsh4nature commented 2 years ago

@ninallam Client doesn't want to give access to Azure Load Testing resource. All team members already have access to Azure DevOps boards. All Unit tests, Integration tests and UI tests are visible in the Tests section but not these performance tests. It will also make it consistent. If someone wants more information then they can ask for access and see the detailed results in the Azure Load Test resource. Feel free to contact me for more details. Cheers!

@ninallam - Is this being considered for a future release on your roadmap

ninallam commented 2 years ago

@johnAgilisys Thanks for reaching out. This is on our future roadmap and we'll prioritize based on customer demand.

Definitely a useful feature, even if it just added into the "Tests" the name of each load test and a link to the report directly.

jcchiang commented 1 year ago

I would like to see this feature too, our team is using Azure Load Test and wish to create a dashboard out of the results, it would be much easier with this feature implemented.

thrustCoder commented 1 year ago

We'd like to see this feature as well, certainly agree with above comments.

In what format (table, charts, etc.) would you like to view results on the Azure DevOps dashboard? Also, what metrics (errors, response time, duration, number of virtual users, requests/second, throughput) would you like to be present in the dashboard? @harsh4nature @Christian4K @johnAgilisys @paul-cunningham-access @jcchiang @thrustCoder

thrustCoder commented 1 year ago

@aneeshapanda We would love to see charts similar to how Azure Load Testing shows different metrics. In terms of metrics, we would like to see engine instance count, error percentage, response time, duration, number of virtual users, requests/second, throughput & total requests.
