Can't connect to Kusto cluster #14464

Issue Type: Bug

I use Kusto (ADX) all day everyday on my Microsoft machine with no problem. I cannot make a cluster connection to Kusto in ADS:

  1. Installed Azure Data Studio
  2. Installed the Kusto extension
  3. Clicked Connections
  4. Connection type: Azure Data Explorer (Kusto)
  5. Cluster: cgadatamall.westus
  6. Authentication type: it selects AAD - Universal with MFA support
  7. Account: Rick Grimm - rgrimm@microsoft.com
  8. Azure AD tenant: Microsoft
  9. Database: CustomerTouchPoint 10: Server group:
  10. Name: CustomerTouchpoint
  11. Click OK to add. 13: Error message received: Unable to connect. ClusterName=https://cgadatamall.westus, DatabaseName:CustomerTouchPoint
