Incorrect Server Connection #20914

Open gfoley97 opened 1 year ago

Issue Type: Bug

I was noticing a weird issue in our prod SQL environment.

I connected to a SQL server and the bottom right says that i'm connected to our prod server, but it is in fact connected to our dev server (i confirmed this by selecting @@servername).

I cannot use azure data studio if this is going to happen.

Hi @gfoley97

If this is related to Editing a connection, we've recently made a fix with PR #20907 that should resolve this issue. The fix will be part of next release. Can you confirm the behavior is expected WITHOUT using the 'Edit Connection' context feature?

If you have a reproducible use-case otherwise, please share with us the steps to reproduce the behavior, and we will investigate that as well.

This is not related to edit connection

@gfoley97 can you please provide us with the steps to reproduce this behavior so we can investigate further?

I've tried but I am unable to recreate this consistently. Very sporadic.
