Loading Selected row for calculation hanging... #25619

Type: Bug

Steps to reproduce.

  1. Query a table that has a column with a VARCHAR(MAX) column in Azure Data Studio.
  2. In the results, click on the VARCHAR(MAX) column value.
    • This opens a new tab to show the contents.
  3. "Loading selected rows for calculation" message appears and doesn't go away.
  4. I am no longer able to run any more queries. As if "Loading selected rows for calculation" is blocking my requests.
  5. I have to restart Azure Studio to fix it.

I have similar issues. Even the Help -> Report Issue menu item didn't respond. v1.49.1
