Failing to get access token when connecting to a Postgres database with Azure Active Directory option

I was trying to connect to an Azure Postgresql server using my AAD and got this error message: connection failed: FATAL: The access token does not have a valid audience claim. Please acquire a new token for the resource "https://ossrdbms-aad.database.windows.net".

If I try to generate a token myself following this guide https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/single-server/how-to-configure-sign-in-azure-ad-authentication and connect to the db with passwords as the generated token, I'm able to connect
