I've discovered DevOps recently as my company insfrastructure is mostly based on Azure tools. After complaining a lot about the missing features and all the little adjustments I would like to see I realized that you are actually relying on a wonderfull marketplace of plugin that can enhance to capacity of the platform and meet my very cherry picking needs.
I want to contribute to some of the open-source project that live underneath these plugins as some are missing easy to code functionalities. I realized that for most of the one I use they were build a long time ago and they are now not maintained any-more (mostly because the owner have left GitHub or simply don't have time to dedicate to open-source project).
To avoid this some other "tools" that I use rely on dedicate dorganizations to store open-source project under a non-official umbrella, making it easier to and over rights and increase the involvment of the open-sourc ecommunity.
few examples that I'm working in:
sphinx-contrib To gather extention for thePython doc builder
open-foris To gather tools that should be used for Forest monitoring under the umbrella of UNFAO forestry department
gee-community gathering open-sourc einitiative to enhance the Google Earth Engine GIS platform and API.
I didn't find anything for devOps. Is it something someone at microsoft would like to create ? Is it something I could create on my own and invite someone from Microsoft team to keep an eye on what is happening ?
