Bot deployed in Azure is not reflecting in Skype #3429

Issue Description

I am hosting my bot in the Azure. I am able to access my bot through the "test console" in the "Developer Console". However, when I try to a Skype channel, the bot has stopped responding.

Is it still not working for you? I was able to talk to your bot via skype image

The issue is with Skype. The response is intermittent. You can try with following commands to test my bot

  1. Get me all incidents ( this will display a list of incident numbers)
  2. Click on the incident for publish results.
  3. Get me incident INC1234

type "back" to before testing each point on Skype channel.

Looks like someone is building a serviceNow bot 👍 Still this is working for me. What is the issue you are seeing? also are you able to put your code in a Repo for me to look at?

Yes, that is correct. However, I an unable to understand why the results are intermittent on Skype. You can try adding this BOT to your skype and test. And you will realize, that the results are intermittent.

@tgparmar75, I've just tested your bot and was able to successfully add it in Skype and then start a conversation with it.

What version of skype are you using?

You would have to converse more with it to know the real issue. Please type "Help" and follow various dialogs with the bot to experience intermittent results.

I am using Skype on Android and web.skype.com on my laptop browser.

Yes. The issue is when you converse more with rheumatoid bot on Skype.

Please type "help" to initiate various dialogs.

@tgparmar75 I spent about 20-30 minutes conversing with your bot and was unable to reproduce. I used the "help" command many times as well as others. I would absolutely love to help you solve your problem, but there is not much I can do with the information I have and not being able to reproduce. Are you getting any error message? I was using the desktop app, can you try to reproduce with the desktop app and give me the exact conversation so I can try once more to reproduce?

Hello

This morning I started conversing with the bot and all seems to be working fine using the Skype channel. I have spend round 15 minutes with thmy bot and is responding promptly.

Are there any tips and tricks that I must follow once I redeploy my code into Azure to endure that the bot reflect my new changes?

@tgparmar75 there is no special procedure for deploying your bot to Azure so there isn't really any tips or tricks to share. It's just like any other web api application. Going to close this issue for now, but can reopen if you are experiencing issues again
