Describe the bug If you have Clipboard history disabled in group policy then calculator will crash when trying to copy to clipboard. This is a duplicate of #1971 which is closed by the owner.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Disable Clipboard history in Group Policy (using gpedit.msc): "Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > OS Policies > Allow Clipboard History" and set to disabled.
  2. Copy from calculator.

Expected behavior Data would be copied to clipboard. Clipboard history disabled still leaves you with the singular clipboard entry and all other software handles this case.

Device and Application Information

Additional context This has been an issue for several years for me, spanning many versions.

Requested Assignment I'm just reporting this problem. I don't want to fix it.

This is your friendly Microsoft Issue Bot. I've seen this issue come in and have gone to tell a human about it.

Not only Calculator, Snipping Tool and another apps too

It's likely to do with the Windows OS itself rather than the Microsoft apps maybe. It might even go as far as differing between Windows Pro, Enterprise, Education, and Home even with the relevant OS build or be an issue among all of them.

Just speculation of course; I may be completely incorrect, but if the issue persists through other apps then I feel like OS might be the issue maybe
