tree v1.8.0 from here, bash 4.4.23(1)-release, both of which run within the MSYS2 environment installed by Git-for-Windows. mintty 3.5.1 (x86_64-pc-msys), Windows Terminal 1.10.2714.

What happened?

When using the tree command, the vertical bars in the output are not continuous. The following screenshots compare the output of tree in Windows Terminal and MinTTY, with both Cascadia Mono and Consolas:
