Unusual rendering and artifacts in font glyphs #702

What happened?

Cascadia Mono and cascadia mono pl are showing weird rendering and artifacts in the *.ttf variant of the font, for both static and variable font files. This issue is not present in the *.otf statics.

Please note the lower case u t r d and g, and the upper case T E I F J L. Different characters are affected at different font sizes.

I have the same issue on Linux. Only the TTF version is affected, OTF version works fine.
