Data discrepancy between Clarity and GA4

Hi Team ,

We have integrated Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity using Google Tag Manager (GTM) in our website. When we compared the data between the GA4 and Clarity, we observed that there is a discrepancy of 75% in sessions data and 60% discrepancy in users data, GA4 having higher count.

Could you please clarify if Clarity records all the sessions & all users data? Please note that our sessions count is <100,000 per day per project.

Kindly look into this issue further and resolve it at the earliest. Also, please let us know if we are missing anything.

@chanduaki , Though the Google Analytics (GA) dashboard and Clarity dashboard is set to the same timeframe, you might have noticed different numbers in each dashboard. Here we have checked the data for whole website between the clarity and GA4. Also, we have blocked internal iP Address in both GA4 & Clarity

In GA4 also, the session times out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

But unable to identify why the descripancy is happening between the GA4 & Clarity

Shall we schedule a call and resolve the issue at the earliest

@chanduaki , Could you please send us an email to our support alias ClarityMS@microsoft.com with below details to investigate further.

1.Both GA and Clarity are confined to same website and webpages, meaning do they report data for same pages.

2. What's the time range the data is compared, screenshot of both Clarity and GA with metrics. (Session's data and User data)
3. Your GA account ID
4. Clarity project ID with website address where Clarity installed.

Did you ever resolve this? I just ran into this exact same thing - missing about 80% of pages and users in Clarity, despite both being set up in GTM on an all page views trigger. Doesn't make any sense to me.
