@ryanhugh ,Content in the input boxes and drop-down menus will be masked in all modes and can't be customized. Please refer Masking content | Microsoft Learn for more details.
Ah, unfortunate to hear. I'll switch to logrocket or fullstory then. It is great to see this product is free but I definitely need that feature. Thanks for the quick response.
I understand credit card information being masked but why mask email, name, etc. Infact why mask input boxes at all. Doesn't make sense.
We want to be able to see text inputs for debugging purposes or for understanding who are dropping off our form and for what reason.
This policy just doesn't make sense. I too would have to shift to some other software now.
I get the reasoning for this from privacy and security perspectives.
However, maybe you could make text and input box masking explicitly opt out, i.e. the inverse of the "Mask by element" option. This would allow unmasking of critical inputs without allowing Clarity users to get overly careless about what they're recording.
Content in the input boxes and drop-down menus will be masked in all [modes] Is Any Alternate ways ?

Microsoft Clarity Support would like to recall the message, “[microsoft/clarity] Some data still masked with masking disabled (Issue #355)”.
Hi @ClaritySupport , this is really unfortunate. I had some visitors triggering 500 Internal Server errors with their form input and can't figure out what exactly is causing it.
I suggest that you at least improve the clarity of the Clarity settings user interface (see first post) and include a statement that input boxes are always masked and not customizable. Currently it says "Relaxed No text is masked" which is clearly wrong and we waste our time trying to find the cause.
Hello all,
I have masking disabled. This setting has been set like this for > 1 week.
However, I am still seeing some text is masked. How can I unmask it?
