[CoE Starter Kit - BUG] Solution upgrade no longer assigning connection references to person doing the upgrade #6330

Open RebekkaAalbers opened 1 year ago

RebekkaAalbers commented 1 year ago

Does this bug already exist in our backlog?

Describe the issue

In my environment some of the inventory Flows where owned by someone else who no longer had an active license. When running the Wizard in the step Run inventory flows the message was displayed that all Inventory Flows where enabled, which was not the case. Only the flows owned by my user where enabled, the other flows where switched off.

Expected Behavior

The Wizard shows the state of all inventory flows, regardless of the owner of the flows.

What solution are you experiencing the issue with?

Core

What solution version are you using?

4.13

What app or flow are you having the issue with?

CoE Setup and Upgrade Wizard

What method are you using to get inventory and telemetry?

Cloud flows

Steps To Reproduce

1, Make sure some of the inventory flows are owned by another user that no longer has a license

  1. Make sure some of the inventory flows owned by the other user are turned off
  2. Rerun the Initial Setup steps
  3. At step Run inventory flows the disabled flows will not show

Anything else?

Thanks for posting, helped us understand the change in behavior here that has caused this. Turns out when you upgrade as person B, the connection references are no longer being auto-assigned to Person B. We are tracking to see if this is an expected change or not but the workaround is to go to the Default Solution > Connection References > click each one and assign to yourself (Person B).

Then you will be able to turn all the flows on manually or via the setup wizard.
