The current Innovation backlog focuses on "Asking users to submit ideas for apps and flows that need building, and describe pain points with the current process. As users describe the process, they will provide information about personas involved, tools used, and measures for improvement. This information is then used to calculate an ROI and complexity score."
However, it does not directly tie these ideas to the organization's Key Results (OKRs) to demonstrate business value. This means that while the ideas may be useful and solve problems, they may not necessarily align with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.
Describe the solution you'd like
Look at integrating the Power CAT Business Value Assessment application into the Innovation Center.
This should involve asking users to submit ideas that align with specific OKRs, or to describe how their ideas would contribute to achieving those OKRs. Make use of AI Builder prompts to assist the user with drafting the alignment with the organizations key results.
Once the ideas are submitted, they could be evaluated based on their alignment with the organization's strategic goals and priorities, as well as their potential ROI and complexity score. This would help ensure that the organization is investing in projects that are most likely to deliver business value and contribute to its overall success.
Over time look at evaluating what features from the Existing Innovation Backlog Application and the data driven ROI tracking of the Automation Kit can be integrated to refine the expected and actual Return on Investment.
