[CoE Starter Kit - BUG] Initialising flow approval tables not working/showing? #8962

Open spw-ab opened 1 month ago

spw-ab commented 1 month ago

Does this bug already exist in our backlog?

Describe the issue

In this step I am attempting to Initialize flow approval tables in your environment.

I have created the dummy flow as required and tested it successfully - but the Microsoft Flow Approvals & Microsoft Flow Approvals Core Solution solutions aren't created as expected.

I have also done this as Global Admin with the same result.

The flow only takes 2-4 seconds to run and the documentation says that it can take up to 10 minutes so I'm unsure if that's a red flag.

Interestingly enough - in our default environment where we actively use MS Approvals and have done for a long time - the Microsoft Flow Approvals & Microsoft Flow Approvals Core Solution solutions don't exist either which makes me think something might have changed since the documentation was written and even when installed, they don't show there any more? Or perhaps there is another way to verify?

Any help or advice appreciated.

It looks like in newer environments these don't show anymore. And in fact you don't have to do this step anymore to use approvals. So you're good to proceed. I'll hold this one as a documentation issue. Thanks for posting!
