As someone new to development, it can be complex to get your machine up and working. With WinGet configure DSC files, we can quickly get your system setup with a single click./

I started some of the work with:

We have several development paths referenced at Microsoft Learn. I've been working with our documentation experts to update those to suggest using WinGet for the "manual" instructions, and to get them updated once we have sample configurations checked in here under configuration Samples for use with Dev Home.

I've also been looking at the Windows Dev Box Setup Scripts project. And I believe we should include those configurations as well. We should probably mark that repository as no longer active as well, and provide a reference to Dev Home.

Crawl: Update the documentation at Microsoft Learn to use WinGet. Walk: Get samples checked in here and directly reference Dev Home for the pages at Microsoft Learn. Run: Some kind of lovely UI to describe the development paths and an "easy button" inside Dev Home.
