Updating the home page headline photo and description #56

  1. Home page headline photo should be replaced with the photo from the Toolkit page
  2. Home page description should be replaced with the Toolkit description
  3. this means that the tool kit starts with "Delivery Accelerators Repository" NOTE: Repository should be singular. a

I'll send a summary email to Karsten with photos

Hi there... Thanks for asking. Andrew and I are meant to do a quick review of the UI and submit issues for feedback. Then Karsten was going to pull together a triage to prioritize which issues will fit into the limited time we have with you.

Karsten is out traveling today and I don't think Andrew has had an opportunity to review. So, here's what I suggest: if you have time to fill, yes, please take the issues I submitted yesterday and implement those that you can.

The easiest I believe is the home page/toolkit page switch. I think the one that will take the most time will be implementing a common template across accelerator pages.

Totally fine if the definition is edited… it just doesn’t belong on the toolkit page. This is where the folks looking to grab an accelerator will come to find what they need. The big intro belongs on the home page…😊 IMHO

For the home page text block I made a suggestion that can be found in this issue:https://github.com/microsoft/dstoolkit-web/issues/53. But if you'd like to change it feel free to do so!

Home page intro text… I’’m suggesting a change:

“The Data Science Toolkit is a rich repository of packaged, vetted and tested machine learning accelerators and usage guidance for common machine learning scenarios. These can be meaningful for everyone professional data scientists to students to data science enthusiasts.”

@Andrew @.***>… please provide your feedback before the team re-publishes.

Alesia and team, FYI, since this site is to be open source to the public, Andrew and I have been trying to scrub words that clearly specific to the Microsoft consulting context, e.g. engagement or product backlog. This may explain some of the re-wording we have done. 😊
