multiple customers are requesting if Microsoft has a model to see what savings they will get by applying reservations or savings plans on resources in azure. They want they will save if applied so that they can request budgeting for the purchases of the reservations and savings plans.

NOTE: Aptio provides this and they typically dont want to pay for the Aptio license and want to get it in Azure

@flanakin @nteyan This is related to the cost avoidance concept that we are working on the new Rate Optimization dashboard. Customer is asking for cost avoidance but through RI purchase instead of waste reduction.

Different not looking for avoidance necessarily, but estimates to get budget based on savings potential, maybe if that is what we are calling it then yes but they want something to tell them based on their past usage for compute average and skus what savings they will enjoy in the future

@jerrywolff Can you add more details about what you expect with this? It's a bit abstract and I fear it won't get picked up without a clearer definition of what needs to change.
