I'm going to second this. My team is about to start building some Teams apps and we've been eyeing Stardust. Based on the open issues (https://github.com/OfficeDev/office-ui-fabric-react/issues/9993) in UI Fabric, it seems there is some sort of merge between Stardust and Fabric being proposed, but I can't seem to find any specifics. Would love to grab a coffee with someone who is more familiar so we can make the right decision.
Thanks much guys. This is something we'd like to get going now that we're planning for a 1.0 release and maintenance cycle. I'm not sure guessing at dates make much sense, but at least an ordered flow of what we're planning and where we are at with it.
I'd like this to be available from the doc site and the repo.
Hi,
Is it possible to get some info/hints regarding the future fluent-ui-react (FUR), and maybe semantic-ui-react (SUR) as well?
Our company have been using SUR for a few years in almost all our projects and we’re unsure of its future. SURs development is slow and there seems to be some overlap between these two projects.
For example, will FUR and SUR live side by side as separate component libs? If so, what will their main differences be?
I’m also curious what FURs position will be with regards to office-ui-fabric. Will these libs live side by side?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Feature Request
I would love to see a road map published of things upcoming in Stardust, and general timelines for them, when possible. This helps tremendously with understanding of upcoming features / changes in Stardust and how we can plan for them.
Problem description
Currently, with no published road map, it's very hard to know upcoming changes in Stardust and correctly allocate resources to uptake those updates. Also, this would help with understanding in general of where the Stardust team's focus is, and therefore the status of the Components.
Proposed solution
Look at existing OSS road maps and draw inspiration from them to construct one for Stardust.
Some great examples:
