We are not going to change the previous versions. The next release will have support for OpenSSL 3.

But older versions don't support OpenSSL 3, that's why you need to specify that they depend on OpenSSL 1.1.

Or if you don't want people to install older versions then you should delete the formulas for them to make it clear that only the latest version is supported.

That is fine, but we will not change history. Even with 1.1 installed, you still need to add the link as mentioned in #59.

The older versions are provided for historical reference and aid in reproducing issues / regressions. You are not obligated to use them.
