Hey @steveruizok thank you for filing this issue. I would love to follow up with you during this week to chat more about your extension, When would be a good time to chat/best way to? You can also email me at filisha.shah@microsoft.com
I'll follow up over email!
I did follow up btw, in case it went to spam! You can reach me on twitter @steveruizok or at steve@tldraw.com.
@steveruizok apologies for the delay in getting back to you here. I will be adding you to our allow-list of extensions. Please give it a couple of weeks more to come out in the release. Thanks!
@fubaduba
I will be adding you to our allow-list of extensions.
Have you added it now? Any possible to use the tldraw in the live share?
Any updates on this please?
@fubaduba Friendly ping~ Could you please add it? Thanks!
Good luck with this. We've been trying to get someone to do that for ages https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/live-share/issues/4877
Hi, I'm here on the advice of @lostintangent to ask that the tldraw VS Code extension be added to the extensions able to use the Live Share API. I tweeted about the hypothetical of using Live Share to collaborate on tldraw whiteboards—I wasn't aware there was an API for it already!
Though we do support multiplayer rooms on tldraw.com, the VS Code extension is entirely local and offline. It acts more as a glorified JSON editor for the underlying
.tldr
file. By integrating with Live Share, we would hope to make that experience multi-user without having to rely on externally hosted files. I believe the current closest comparison would be Draw.io's extension which similarly uses Live Share to support multi-user drawing.Happy to answer any questions. 🙏
