@forensicsguy20012004 - Thanks for the feedback. Currently, we're focusing on a python/pip package. A node/npm package is not on the road map. However, things can change if there is enough demand, so I'll leave this issue open to reconsider if we see enough interest.
Awesome, I really appreciate it. So, I can say where I work, I have been an Evangelist for Node.JS and MSSQL. I have been helping business units make the switch from beefy web architectures over to Node.Js and folks just love it. The hardest part for me as an Evangelist at a Fortunate 100 is the lack of full on support of Node.JS/MSSQL. Everyone I work with, loves MSSQL and loves Node.JS but we are essentially missing that 'glue' that will seamlessly tie the two techs together. If I could get that 'glue' ... well I think Microsoft's popularity would grow even more than what it is. I hope others feel the same way. Thanks again for keeping this open. Please do consider bring in Node.JS.
Thanks, Matt
I would like to be able to perform an npm install, pull down a package, and be able to query and script out objects. With this request, I would the ability to log into the SQL instance using Windows Auth. Having the ability to use Node.Js would be amazing. I am currently using Edge.js to perform MSSQL calls that marshal out to .Net and then use ADO to query SQL, I would prefer something native and support by Microsoft.
