General concerns regarding mooncake version #407

Hello @eltoncarr !

On my organization we have several concerns, we use the mooncake version of the stamp deployment, and we would like to ask:

  1. Is there any possibility to incorporate to the system architecture the necessary infrastructure for supporting the edX insights functionality? This would be a great boost for our company's business by having advanced data access to student's progress.

  2. Is it possible to update the version of edX platform to Ginkgo or Hawthorn on stamp? I am already aware that the Hawthorn has made a significant change by changing the internal structure of the app into containers, thus creating a suppression of the previous separated devstack and fullstack.

  3. Given the fact that Azure Media Services is not widely available on the Chinese Azure, is it possible to remove it from the deployment?

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

We don't support Insights on Ficus. if you'd like this capability, you'd need to add that support yourself using the available code as a starting point. We are in the process of providing a Hawthorn update. I think removing AMS is primarily a template issue. You can make updates to the template and deploy your environment. You can also remove the resource if necessary. Make sure you run this in a test environment first.
