Trying to connect power BI workspace from azure devops deployment pipelines

Hi Team,

we are using Power BI automation tools extension to connect to power BI workspace.

we are trying to connect power BI workspace from azure devops using service prinicipal authentication. we were getting below error when we try to hit the power BI workspace. It looks from logs like you are trying to deploy with updateAppInTargetWorkspace set to true while there is no App in the target workspace.

updateAppInTargetWorkspace should only be set to true if there is an App in the target workspace which will be updated after the deployment. Please, verify.

For me it works in a classic pipeline (now called a release pipeline), and not in the new Yaml pipelines (previously called Build pipelines, now called Pipelines)

Hi, sorry for the delay - 400 bad request, is a general error and doesn't indicate the exact issue. with the new version (1.1.0) just released you should be able to see the error code which should explain the issue please re-try this and provide the updated log if additional help is needed
