A Gantt chart is a type of bar chart which illustrates a project timeline or schedule. The Gantt Chart visual shows the Tasks, Start Dates, Durations, % Complete, and Resources for a project. The Gantt Chart visual can be used to show current schedule status using percent-complete shadings and a vertical "TODAY" line. The Legend may be used to group or filter tasks based upon data values.

Workaround to expand the gantt chart to the right #228

Hi,

first of all, thanks for creating such an amazing Visual it is really helping us to visualize the portfolio timeline.

We have designed the timeline to display the bar for the project and at the right side the project name and the project manager. The issue we have is that for most projects the Resource text is trimmed Our workaround was to create a blank project with a longer end date but for some other reasons we cannot use that workaround. 2020-11-19_171004

Would be possible to have a MIN/MAX End Date to define how much the gantt chart would be displayed to the left or to the right?

What would be your suggestion as workaround to have more space to the right?

Thanks in advance!

@boogaweb Now we have several tasks related to Resource trimming or drawing full width(controlled by Formatting option). It is in our backlog, but there is no ETA. About workaround: what about fast task(duration in seconds) with a longer end? If your tasks' duration is in days for example it would be thin and "unvisible"

Thanks for replying!

Not sure about the proposed workaround, could you please elaborate it? Out tasks duration come from Project Online in days already.
