[Question]: Canvas App Design Guidlines #138

Is there a guide on how to properly design a Canvas App utilizing the Creator Kit? I've seen some content that describes the controls in Fluent UI but I have not see a guide that helps with overall design and when to use controls for what purpose.

Hi @slgsperry - thanks for the great feedback. We are having internal discussions but trying to ensure we provide the correct level/scope to be most helpful for a generic audience.

Can you please elaborate on what you're looking for in terms of overall design guidance? Are you looking for technical design for how to organize the components, or more general user interface patterns, such as physical placement of controls and how they are displayed, perhaps in conjunction to each other?

I found documentation on the individual controls. I am looking for guidance on how to design an application utilizing the controls. I would be looking for both technical design on how to organize the components but in context of general user interface patterns. Placement on a screen, in conjunction to each other, interaction between them. Last piece would be to tie specific use cases to the guidelines to better help people associate the controls to application design.

I hope that adds a bit of clarity.

FYI we are currently working on guidance documentation on this topic this quarter and will keep this thread posted in addition to office hours as we make progress.
