Performance update #50

Description

Through this pull request the following changes are being made

Updating the subscription state function to invoke the correct API
Updating the template to leverage the customers and subscription state tables to be used in other queries

This pull request includes an update to the template, that is dependent on changes only available in the version currently under development. Taking this into consideration this pull request should not be merged until version 1.2 is ready to be released.

There are additional functions that need to optimized, but those will be updated through a future release. I am going to merge this change and process the 1.2 release now.
