SwiftDialog Broken? #145

Closed TH2307 closed 1 month ago

TH2307 commented 2 months ago

Hi,

the Swift Dialog Onboarding stopped working about a week ago.

I detected, that the URL https://catlab.blob.core.windows.net/swiftdialog/catlab.json in the 1-installSwiftDialog.zsh isn't working anymore.

Could that be the issue? Maybe depending with the new Swift Dialog 2.5.0 Version released last month?

Best regards

Have a look here and follow this method instead. That one is using json hosted on my Blob storage, which I’ve since closed.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately we were unable to get the PKG version to work. Script, files and icons have been modified. Package payload content has been adjusted accordingly.

Manual terminal execution gets error ERROR: Cannot find swiftDialog binary at /Library/Application Support/Dialog/Dialog.app/Contents/MacOS/Dialog

Any ideas? Even if we build the package without modifying the content source from the zip, we get the same error.

Best regards

Or could you provide an example PKG File for Validation? Then we could rule out the error on our side.

theneiljohnson commented 1 month ago

I’ve not heard of anyone else having problems with the published version on GitHub. Have you tried not editing it and just building the PKG? You’ll need to grant the packages app disk access.

Packages app has full disk access. Building the Package not editing the content didnt work either. Same error message.

theneiljohnson commented 1 month ago

I’m not sure what you’re doing wrong. I just downloaded the ZIP, extracted, opened the Swift Dialog Onboarding project and hit CMD+B and it built the package.

Can you be super precise about what you are doing, step by step.
