fix CHANGELIST link in README #178

Currently, the CHANGELIST.md hyperlink is specified as docs/CHANGELIST.md in README.md file. However, the folder docs does not exist and the CHANGELIST.md is located in the top-level directory. So, docs/ is removed from the link to fix the 404 Page not found error.

Additionally, the changeset contains the removal of the trailing whitespaces for some lines.
