Unable to import notebook <Data Scientist> #207

Describe the bug

After clicking on the "import notebook" option, a blank window appears and the user becomes unable to import a notebook.

Severity : Medium

Persona : Data Scientist

What happened?

I was following a tutorial on how to use Microsoft Fabric. It required me to import a jupyter notebook from my device. I followed the steps mentioned in the tutorial and clicked on "import notebook" option. A blank window appeared and I was unable to import notebook. I tried to refresh the window and even tried logging in again and then importing the notebook. But, the same problem kept occurring. image

What did you expect to happen?

I expected to see an "upload" option. image

How would you reproduce the bug?

  1. Log in to your account and open the Data Science persona.
  2. Click on "Import notebook".

@Manya-tech Nothing is visible after uploading a file or nothing opens (i.e. browser files option) if you click on upload?

@Manya-tech, I am able to import the jupyter notebook. Check if you have upgraded your Power BI license & also created a workspace before trying the scenario.

I was also having this issue. I had missed this step: Step 2 Enable Microsoft Fabric for your Tenant

It was something which was slightly difficult to find as I had enabled the trial already so I thought it will start working automatically
