Describe the bug

Error on uploading a specific file.

What happened?

While going through the Exercise - Analyze data with Apache Spark, in the Create a lakehouse and upload files section, I wasn't able to upload the 2021.csv file. All other files in the folder were uploaded successfully (2019.csv, and 2020.csv). I tried:

  1. Use the Upload files menu instead of upload folder.
  2. Change the name of the file and try again.
  3. Change the content of the file.
  4. Deleting the workspace and retrying with a new one
  5. Downloading and uploading the files again
  6. Tried uploading bigger files to see if the problem is related with the file size (the bigger files were uploaded successfully)

None if that worked. image

The 2021.csv file start to upload: The "Kb indicator" starts to go up slowly.. until the file size is reached. Then it starts again from 0 three times. Then it shows this error: image

What did you expect to happen?

  1. The file should be uploaded successfully.
  2. If anything fails, a retry button should be available to retry the upload. (I had to delete and try again manually every time)
  3. The message error should be more informative. At least the time should be well formatted.

How would you reproduce the bug?

I am not sure how to reproduce the bug. However, try to go through the learning exercise: the Create a lakehouse and upload files section and try uploading the files with a low internet connection.
