Group Tabs #8267

Open ghost opened 4 years ago

The Color feature is neat, but I always need to open several Tabs and after few Tabs I loose the overview.

What I would like to see, are Groups which when clicked on it, it opens every Tab located in the Group and maybe with a icon on the left side to minimize the group again. 1 2

Thanks for the request! It's cool, and I can imagine using it, but I'm a little confused: isn't this what multiple Windows would be for? :smile:

It's what I am aiming for:). Reduce the amout of open windows. After a while its all getiing a little bit messy and confusing to find the right window. This might not affect every user, but when I work with a group, where the desktop is getting full, because of other applications, it's happens to someone often.

I would much like this feature too!

Having the ability to group tabs together (like edge/chrome) would be helpful. You could use multiple windows, but session/state doesn't work for multiple windows (to my knowledge); so when re-opening terminal, you'd have to load all of the tabs again in each window (aside from the 1 where state/session was saved).

multiple tabs; currently grouped by color {260ABFEE-F0E0-4463-BF91-911DF297E48E}

example from ms-edge; grouping tabs {B313AF93-611F-4C32-BED0-3E0880FBB328}

It should! So long as you quit the entire terminal at once either by reboot/shutdown or the Quit action (Ctrl+Shift+P quit)
